I always enjoy eating at Garda's. The menu selection is good, and I like the way they use a lot of fresh ingredients, vegetables, etc, when making the dishes. I'm told the prime rib night is excellent. Price is average, most dinners are between $10 and $15. The two criticisms I would have is the wait staff have usually been slow when I eat here and as another reviewer mentioned, the decor needs updated, it is dark and uninviting.

I live in Pittsburgh and I come to Ford City to visit my Mother often, who usually enjoys cooking for me and my girlfriend. Occasionally we do go out and eat and this is where we usually go, we even had a big birthday dinner there for my niece. I have always had a very good meal and service. Their portions are generous and I usually take something home with me. I know that I will return and look forward to eating there again. I would give it a 5 Star but the place needs updated a bit. It is a bit dark in there, dark ceiling and dark carpet, but this will not stop me from eating there again.

Ugh!!! This place used to be so good now I will not be back. If you don't know what real italian cooking is than you will enjoy this place. Went on a Monday and not a lot of people but their was dirty tables everywhere. The pasta was over cooked and the red sauce is awful so much garlic. I had the vodka sauce it was mediocre. Don't waste your time on the soup not homemade nothing seemed to be. The only highlight of the night was the balsamic dressing on the side salad.

Service was about as bad as it gets.We were seated right away and given our menus. then we waited and waited 15 min we asked the hostess if they knew we were there .20 min the hostess came to take drink orders , but never brought drinks .We finally ordered and got our salads but had no silverware to eat with. She then brought forks and set them on the table in a pile for us to pass out, no knifes or spoons., we asked several times for knifes but never got them, our drinks then showed up followed by the food , I think we were into this disaster about an hour by now. The food was good and there was plenty of it , but we never got refills for our drinks. maybe they were short staffed or something but the place was only half or less full, several tables left without ordering we would have done the same but wanted to use a gift certificate. Oh just so you know there was 4 in our party not like we had a big group or anything. probably would have given them the benefit of the doubt if they would have acknowledged that they were having trouble and apologized for it

I have been there twice and had two awful experiences. Once before my senior prom, and 8 years later a friend convinced me that it was worth another shot, and I regret giving it that second shot. The food was very unsettling, like the flavor combination was bad. I think they add something to the sauce that makes it have that bad aftertaste that I didn't like. The pasta was mushy, the salad had hair in it, I did like the bread though. I think that this place is not worth the money and it's in a bad location.

Went on the advice of friends who love this place. Spaghetti sauce was spicy and the rest of the meal not very memorable. Did like the salad best however.

Somehow it went to hell. The last time I went there, the cook, chef? was drunk. Burnt my pizza, I mean burnt. Have not been back since. I see a lot of cars there on weekends, though.

We had Garda's cater our outdoor wedding reception. The food was fabulous! Our guests especially enjoyed the make-your-own pasta bar. The staff was so accomodating to our needs. I can not say enough good things about Chris and his staff at Garda's. If you are looking for catering, I would highly recommend Garda's.
